Shipping & Logistics Guide for Wholesale Buyers

This guide covers everything you need to plan the logistics of your order from our factory in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, to your destination port — including Incoterms, container specifications, documentation, and freight recommendations.

Our Standard Incoterm: FOB Semarang (Tanjung Emas)

Our default shipping term is FOB (Free on Board) — Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, Indonesia. Under FOB terms:

  • We are responsible for all costs and risks up to and including loading onto the vessel at Jakarta port
  • The buyer arranges and pays for ocean freight, marine insurance, and import customs clearance at the destination
  • We provide the full set of export documents required for customs clearance

Alternative Incoterms available upon request: CFR (Cost & Freight), CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight), EXW (Ex-Works, Yogyakarta).

Container Specifications

Natural fiber baskets and lamp shades are bulky items with low weight-to-volume ratios. Most orders are shipped by volume, not weight. Standard container options:

  • 20-foot container (20′ GP): approx. 25–28 CBM usable volume — suitable for smaller orders or dense products
  • 40-foot container (40′ GP): approx. 55–60 CBM usable volume — recommended for most full-container orders
  • 40-foot high-cube container (40′ HC): approx. 65–68 CBM usable volume — preferred for pendant lamp shades and tall basket products
  • LCL (Less than Container Load): available for orders below full container volume; consolidated with other cargo at Tanjung Emas, Semarang

We provide exact CBM calculations per order with the packing list, allowing your freight forwarder to book the correct container size.

Freight Transit Times (Estimated)

  • Europe (Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, Genoa): 28–35 days by sea
  • United Kingdom (Felixstowe, Southampton): 30–36 days by sea
  • United States — West Coast (Los Angeles, Long Beach): 22–28 days by sea
  • United States — East Coast (New York, Savannah): 28–35 days by sea
  • Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane): 14–21 days by sea
  • Middle East (Dubai, Jeddah, Dammam): 18–25 days by sea
  • Japan / South Korea: 10–15 days by sea

Transit times are estimates based on direct or transhipment services. Your freight forwarder will confirm actual sailing schedules.

Export Documentation

We provide a complete set of export documents with every shipment:

  • Commercial Invoice — itemised by SKU, unit price, quantity, and total value
  • Packing List — carton-level detail including dimensions, gross/net weight, and CBM
  • Bill of Lading (B/L) — ocean B/L or telex release upon full payment
  • Certificate of Origin — KADIN-issued, confirming Indonesian origin
  • Phytosanitary Certificate — BKIPM-issued, required for natural fiber imports in AU, NZ, US, EU
  • Fumigation Certificate — available on request (required for AU, NZ)
  • Lacey Act Declaration (PPQ 505) — provided for all US-bound shipments
