Eco Bhavana operates two production workshops. The primary facility in Sleman, Yogyakarta handles design development, quality finishing, and export packing. A secondary weaving workshop in Klaten, Central Java employs artisan families who specialise in fine-weave and decorative basket construction.

Rattan poles arrive from sourcing partners in Kalimantan and Sulawesi as kiln-dried, graded culms. In-house processing covers splitting, peel preparation, soaking, frame construction, and hand-weaving — all under one roof. Three stages
Quality check
Every production batch undergoes a three-stage quality check: a weave-density and dimension check during production, a finishing inspection for surface defects and color consistency, and a pre-shipment visual inspection of packed cartons. Buyers can arrange third-party inspections (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) at our facility before container loading.
Rattan products imported into the EU fall under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR). Eco Bhavana maintains full traceability of rattan raw material from harvest origin to finished product, with supplier chain-of-custody records available for due diligence. We provide geolocation data and supply chain declarations on request to support your EUDR compliance obligations.
The US Lacey Act requires importers to declare the species, country of harvest, and value of plant materials in imported goods. Eco Bhavana provides full Lacey Act declaration support — including scientific species names (Calamus spp.), harvest country (Indonesia), and quantity declarations — with every commercial invoice and packing list.
Rattan goods exported to Australia must meet DAFF biosecurity requirements, including heat treatment or approved fumigation where required. Our factory prepares phytosanitary certificates through Indonesia's Balai Karantina (Ministry of Agriculture) for all Australian shipments. All rattan poles are kiln-dried before production to minimise biosecurity risk.

Yes. Many of our long-term accounts started with a single LCL container or a sample order. We advise first-time importers on documentation, phytosanitary requirements for their destination country, and recommended freight forwarders with Indonesia experience.
